Building Walls

The builders came to rebuild the broken down walls today. I smiled at them and told them to build them tighter, stronger, “Make sure they never come down again”. As I watched each brick be placed into line again I couldn’t remember wanting them to fall down, but mostly I felt devastated they hadn’t stayed down for you.
